Halloran's Office to Offer Free Mammograms
Women between the ages of 40 and 70 years will be able to get a free screening on Feb. 26.
City Councilman Dan Halloran, R-Whitestone, will offer free mammograms at his office this coming weekend.
On Feb. 26, Halloran and the American-Italian Cancer Foundation will give free screenings for women between the ages of 40 and 70 years from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Appointments are required. To schedule a time slot, call Halloran’s offie at 718-631-6703.
The councilman’s office is located at 166-08 24th Rd. in Whitestone.
“Mammograms are the best way to prevent cancer before it happens,” Halloran said. “I lost my father to cancer as a young man. Like all New Yorkers, I know how horrible this disease is.”
